STG-985

A unique one-off East German prototype AK made in 1983. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it would serve as a proof of concept and eventually lead to the STG-940 Wieger series. The rifle was built from a combination of AKM (MPi-KMS-72), Israeli Galil SAR components with a custom two piece painted wooden handguard.

Our custom profile barrel will allow you to use Galil barrel components with a 23mm press & pin AK front trunnion.
